Senior Technician in Geophysics and Civil Engineering

The Senior Technician brings technical expertise and leadership to contribute to the realization of innovative geophysical and geotechnical studies. He/she plays a key role in data acquisition and analysis in the field, as well as in mentoring junior technicians.

Main Responsibilities:

- Conduct geotechnical instrumentation and field data acquisition.

- Participate in geophysical and geotechnical studies (surveys, inspections, soil tests)

- Plan and prepare interventions with project managers

- Monitor sites and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

- Process, analyze, and present collected data.

- Contribute to the writing of technical reports.

- Maintain and calibrate equipment.

- Mentor and support junior technicians in the field.

- Apply safety and quality standards in the field.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.

- 5 to 8 years of experience in civil engineering or applied geophysics.

- Proficiency in field tools and specialized software.

- Leadership, autonomy, and teamwork spirit.

- Enjoyment of fieldwork in varied outdoor conditions.

- Available and flexible for long-term field campaigns and open-ended assignments, as required.

- Fluency in French and English due to frequent communication with clients from English-speaking provinces of Canada.
