Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Placerville, CA, for a Senior Civil Engineer at El Dorado Irrigation District. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing civil engineering design projects, including work with water, wastewater, recycled water, and hydro power systems. Day-to-day activities include planning and managing engineering projects, collaborating with operations staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and working with a team of exceptional engineers. The role also involves oversight and review of technical documents, supervising construction activities, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and extensive experience in applying civil engineering principles to various projects.

- Strong capabilities in Planning, project management, and leading engineering teams effectively.

- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in California or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential for this role.

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees.

- Experience in a water district or similar utility environment is a plus.
