Job Summary
The Senior Recruiter is critical to identifying, attracting and hiring top talent across both field and corporate functions. This role will lead the development and implementation of the talent acquisition function for our growing company. This role combines traditional recruiting for field positions along with leveraging modern outreach methods, including LinkedIn, sourcing, employment branding and marketing. This position will be responsible for finding top construction talent and helping build an effective and efficient talent acquisition function.
Responsibilities
•Manage full-cycle recruitment for field and office roles: project managers, superintendents, estimators, tradespeople, and support staff.
•Source passive and active candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach.
•Partner with leadership to assess staffing needs and anticipate hiring demands based on project timelines.
•Build and execute targeted recruitment campaigns, including job postings, digital ads, and social media outreach.
•Develop and maintain our employer brand across platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, and the company website.
•Create compelling job descriptions and marketing content that reflects our company culture and attracts high-quality candidates.
•Represent the company at job fairs, trade schools, and community hiring events.
•Foster strong relationships with local talent pipelines such as trade programs, unions, and industry associations.
•Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.
•Track recruiting metrics and provide reports to leadership on hiring activity, source effectiveness, and time-to-fill.
•Oversee vendor relationships ensuring effective use of technology/resources and leverage of key capabilities.
•Capacity to develop roadmap and critical path forward in development of the TA function.
Qualifications
•10+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in recruiting both field and professional.
•Prior knowledge and some experience in developing a TA function along with hiring and nurturing a team.
•Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
•Demonstrated experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
•Strong writing and communication skills for developing content and outreach messaging.
•Comfortable using social media for recruiting and brand awareness.
•Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple open roles at once.
•Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or managing candidate pipelines manually.
•Knowledge of labor laws, hiring compliance, and safety standards in construction.
Preferred Skills
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
•Experience working in a small company environment or with rapid-growth teams.
