Our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) division ensures the long-term performance of our renewable energy assets across the U.S. We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented Junior Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for critical field-based roles that drive our mission forward.
Position Summary: The Junior Recruiter will support full-cycle recruiting for our field-based workforce, including roles such as landscaping technicians, power plant electrical technicians, and field supervisors. The ideal candidate brings strong initiative, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
This is a fully in-office position, perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused setting and wants to build a foundation in talent acquisition within the clean energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
•Own and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for a wide range of field-based O&M roles across multiple locations.
•Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create role-specific sourcing strategies.
•Source candidates through job boards, internal databases, referrals, and proactive outreach.
•Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
•Coordinate interview scheduling, feedback collection, and offer processes.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for all hired applicants, providing timely communication regarding screening status, travel arrangements, and all necessary information to ensure a smooth and informed first day.
•Maintain accurate candidate and requisition records in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
•Provide a high-quality candidate experience that reflects the company’s values and professionalism.
•Participate in job fairs and community hiring events to support workforce development efforts.
Ensure recruiting activities align with company goals, safety standards, and other initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
•1–2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (in-house or agency); internship or administrative HR experience will be considered.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a positive, can-do attitude is essential.
•Demonstrated initiative, drive, and reliability in supporting multiple openings and deadlines.
•Ability to work collaboratively with a team and build strong relationships with hiring managers.
•Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
•Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business tools.
•Must be willing and able to work fully on-site at our Durham, NC office.
Preferred:
•Experience with UKG (UltiPro) or other major HRIS/ATS platforms is a plus.
•Background recruiting for skilled trades, craft labor, construction, or field operations is helpful.
•Familiarity with clean energy, utilities, or O&M operations.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
