The Personnel Recruiter is responsible for sourcing qualified candidates & matching them to requested manpower across all company divisions. The Personnel Recruiter will receive applications, review and evaluate applicant qualifications, interviews applicants, contacts applicants regarding job offers and start dates, and initiates new hire paperwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer database, networking, internet recruiting resources, recruiting organizations, and employee referrals
•Interviews applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills
•Process pre-employment screening including but not limited to background checks, drug screens, DOT’s and required training on selected candidates to meet project/site requirements
•Contacts applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection
•Complete I-9’s and E-verify process for all candidates through designated system
•Prepare & maintain employment records while staying in compliance with internal policies/guidelines along with federal & state laws
•Answers high volume phone system and responds to current job openings or submitted application status
•Provide excellent customer service to all candidates and internal/external customers
•Position may require evening and weekend work during high volume hiring
•Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
•Hire qualified candidates to fill current manpower needs for client-driven projects
•Assist department supervisor with current recruiting needs and training
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
•High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
•Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in job related duties
•Preferred experience in industrial and heavy construction industry

•Must be able to work non-routine hours (nights and weekends), when necessary especially during high volume hiring.
•Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
•Must have a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
•Ability and willingness to travel as required for out-of-town recruiting engagements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•Will mainly work in an office setting (indoors) but may be outdoors from time to time.
•Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one place to another.
•Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity.
•Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers.
•Frequently communicate with other members of the team. Must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
•Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
•Ability to safely and efficiently go up and down stairs.
