Rogers Group is currently seeking a Senior Counsel, Real Estate and Acquisitions to sit out of our Nashville, TN office. This position will be reporting directly to Rogers Group’s Vice President and General Counsel.
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, as well as closing documents, for real estate transactions.
- Manage title, survey, zoning, and land use diligence in coordination with title companies and outside counsel, when engaged.
- Draft and negotiate real estate leases and lease amendments, including related title, survey, and zoning diligence.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions, including purchase agreements, ancillary agreements, and closing documents.
- Coordinate and manage outside counsel, consultants, and vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective transaction execution.
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to operations, development, and leadership teams regarding risk assessment and deal structure.
- Assist with post-closing matters, including integration of acquired assets, resolution of title or survey issues, and ongoing property management concerns.
- Minimum of 3 years as practicing attorney with primary focus on real estate and/or acquisitions.
- Experience handling complex real estate transactions and acquisitions, preferably involving industrial, mining, construction, or infrastructure assets.
- Strong working knowledge of title, survey, zoning, land use, and environmental diligence.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
