AES is currently seeking a Senior Real Estate Analyst to assist the development
efforts as a member of AES’s Real Estate team. The Real Estate team is responsible for development
and financing of all real estate efforts related to wind, solar, and solar + storage projects
throughout the country. The successful candidate will work on the Real Estate team, reporting to a
Real Estate Project Manager. This is a fast-paced role working with internal and external key
stakeholders and will provide immediate exposure to all aspects of renewable energy real estate
matters.
This position will be based in one of AES Clean Energy offices: Salt Lake City, UT; Louisville, CO;
or remote. The role requires the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects and may include
some travel as needed. The successful candidate will work on a cross functional team with
origination, project development, legal, finance, engineering, construction, and outside
consultants, attorneys, surveyors, landowners, customers, project stakeholders, and utility
companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects with the oversight of a project manager
- Assist Real Estate Project Managers in all aspects of real estate development of renewable
- Review title reports and create a title curative plans, including fatal flaw analyses on
- Review ALTA surveys for accuracy
- Assist in and manage title curative activities such as mineral searches and analyses, obtaining
quitclaim deeds, crossing consents from utility providers, third-party access and/or utility
easements, and mortgage subordinations, with oversight and mentoring from a project manager.
- Assist in and manage all real estate aspects of project development, construction, and
financing, including ongoing survey activities, site plan review and buildable area analyses, site
visits, and negotiations with investors and title companies to obtain suitable lender’s and owner’s
title policies; with oversight and mentoring from a project manager.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with title companies, real estate brokers, surveyors,
government entities, landowners, real estate and finance attorneys, and AES team members to
mitigate risks and work toward obtaining title policies for project finance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 to 4 years of real estate/land development experience in renewable energy
- Experience in some but not necessarily all aspects of Real Estate in renewable energy
development, and openness to grow through mentorship and project training
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Knowledge of GIS and Google Earth preferred
- Passion for renewable energy development
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication
- Self-starter, very self-reliant and capable of operating with minimum supervision

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $83,000 and $99,450/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
