We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and drive business growth across all service lines. Job Overview:
As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue, expand market share, and build strong client relationships. You will manage a team of sales and customer service representatives, develop processes and goals for the sales team, and lead customer acquisition and relationship efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
•Sales Strategy & Planning:
•Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to promote the company’s services across all business divisions.
•Set sales targets, create detailed forecasts, and monitor progress toward achieving goals.
•Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
•Team Leadership & Development:
•Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training.
•Foster a high-performance culture, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement within the sales team.
•Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback to optimize individual and collective success.
•Actively engage in selling, not just leading the team, responsible for department growth while consistently contributing to sales efforts.
•Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
•Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including building owners, property managers, facility managers, developers, and general contractors.
•Identify new prospects and actively generate leads to drive business growth.
•Collaborate with division managers to prepare and deliver bids, quotes, and pricing for services, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
•Collaboration with Operations & Marketing:
•Work closely with company management and operations teams to ensure sales activities match company goals and business strategies
•Collaborate with managers of various divisions and project management teams to ensure services are meeting customer satisfaction and expectations.
•Partner with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral, digital content, and promotional materials.
•Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment of sales goals with operational capabilities.
•Monitor and analyze sales data to assess performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies as needed.
•Prepare regular reports for senior management on sales activities and achievements, market conditions, and opportunities for improvement.
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, competition, and regulatory requirements related to fire protection, plumbing, and construction.
•Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role, preferably in the construction or related industries (i.e., fire protection, plumbing, or similar fields).
•Substantial knowledge of construction trades and the construction industry is strongly preferred; a candidate with knowledge and experience in the service areas of plumbing and fire protection would be particularly compelling.
•Experience managing a sales team and driving performance.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
•Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
•A track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, but not required
