- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Lead incident investigations by performing root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Coordinate safety training sessions focused on OSHA requirements, first aid procedures, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), workers' compensation law, and occupational health best practices.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation including incident reports, inspection logs, training records, and report writing for internal review and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare staff for potential incidents.
- Promote a safety-first culture through ongoing training & development initiatives, employee engagement activities, and clear communication of safety expectations.
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety programs, conduct root cause analysis, and manage incident investigations effectively.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety standards, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to environmental compliance within manufacturing settings.
- Experience in report writing for safety audits, incident documentation, and regulatory submissions.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and the processes involved in claims management is advantageous.
