*Knowledge of general oilfield safety, training, and environmental concepts, standards, and practices. *An understanding of applicable government laws, regulations, and reporting procedures such as OSHA, DOT, API, & EPA *An understanding of basic management concepts, including motivation, communication, delegation, and organization. *Thorough knowledge of techniques of inspecting equipment, processes, and procedures. *Working knowledge of oilfield workover industry-related safety equipment, materials, and technology. *Ability to adhere to Company policies and work requirements. *Oilfield Experience: 2 years oilfield safety preferred. Preference is given to workover rig safety experience applicants. *Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related discipline preferred, but not required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Conducts safety and environmental assessment and inspection of records, equipment, and facilities to promote compliance with safety and environmental regulations as established by the Company and/or local, state, or federal laws.
Develops, implements, and communicates Company safety and environmental policies and procedures in all areas of field operations.
*Provides assistance in accident investigation to assist in identifying the cause and corrective actions moving forward. *Assists in identifying training needs for field employees. *Participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings to enhance safety awareness and promote safe work habits. *Ensures compliance with the Company's DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures. *Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor. *Position requires light work including climbing stairs, may require occasional exposure to irregular terrains, extreme temperatures, heights, and noise when visiting & inspecting rigs. *Adheres to Company policies and work requirements. *Report directly to the Safety Director for all safety needs, equipment recommendations, employee concerns, etc.WORK SCHEDULE *This position will be a five-day-a-week position. *Flexible scheduling is available and will be discussed during the interview process.
