Manages and coordinates all safety, health, and training matters to ensure and promote a safe and productive environment by identifying and anticipating concerns and hazards, developing and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
•Observes and audits contractors to verify EHS performance in accordance with regulation
•Schedules, coordinates and monitors completion of instructor-led and computer-based EHS training; identifies training gaps and works with management to appropriately address
•Produces materials, coordinates and leads monthly safety training at routine meetings
•Participates in operations meetings, prioritizing work and field presence based on feedback
•Drives performance by encouraging, monitoring and elevating leading indicator submissions
•Engages in incident (injury, spill, near miss, high-potential events etc.) management and reporting
•Serves as lead or otherwise coordinates interdisciplinary investigation processes
•Performs facility safety spot-checks, focusing on system, life and behavioral-based safety
•Monitors fleet safety and inspection, communicating adherence to management
•Conducts new hire orientations, ability to teach navigation of EHS standards, SDS system etc.
•Troubleshoots and maintains area SDS in online database
•Serves as EHS point of contact for Management of Change
•Maintains field presence, ability to fulfill all duties using best available technology
•Complies with DOT, federal, state, and local safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, interpreting standards, enforcing adherence to regulations, and advising management on needed actions.
•Assists Environmental group in performing internal and regulatory audits and inspections for the company, assists with environmental field work as-needed
•Coordinates implementation of the company’s alcohol and substance abuse testing program
•Works within company policy as outlined by company EHS Standards; makes recommendations for continual improvement to standards, permits and programs
•Serves as a member of the company’s emergency response team, helping to manage spills and injuries as a representative of Incident Command
•Adheres to the company’s values while supporting company vision and mission
•Perform other duties as assigned and often working during atypical work hours
Other Job Responsibilities:
•Serves as back-up to the Senior EHS Manager, if necessary
•Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
•Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.)
•Maintains residence within region of assigned asset team.
•Strong leader, self-starter, excellent communicator, and have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate well with all levels in the organization- understanding or ability to learn new technology is a must
Qualifications:
•Five (5) years minimum operations, production, safety, health and training, preferably oil and gas Industry
•Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in data management.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
•Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
•Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
•Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:

Preferred: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
•Previous Harvest experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
+ Associate/Technical Degree from an accredited two-year college, community college, or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or related experience
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
•CSHO, ASP or CSP designation or on track to achieve certification preferred
