Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support our Phoenix area projects. The Safety Advisor will assist the division with planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). The Safety & Training Advisor is responsible for reinforcing safety culture within the organization.

What You'll Do:

Essential Job Skills/Duties:

+ Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills. + Provide training to field personnel through tailboards and briefings. + Evaluate Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) education and training programs. + Assist in developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials. + Support Company HSE training to ensure it complies with state and federal regulations. + Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions. + Audit job sites to ensure all employees are following proper HSE procedures. + Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective measures. + Complete near miss/good catch reports. + Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting. + Follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion and effectiveness. + Provide support on sensitive/critical projects. + Assist in the development and enhancement of HSE programs. + Support post-incident investigations. + Perform analysis and trending of HSE statistics and metrics to proactively monitor safety performance.
