The Safety Coordinator is a company-wide role responsible for supporting the administration and execution of the organization’s Safety program across all business units and locations. This position ensures safety documentation, training records, and compliance materials are current, organized, and accessible.
The role focuses on document control, regulatory tracking, audit readiness, and safety record management, including maintaining centralized systems for safety programs, procedures, JSAs, training matrices, and incident documentation. By ensuring consistent documentation governance and cross-functional coordination, the Safety Coordinator helps reduce compliance risk and improve operational efficiency.
This position reports to the Director of Safety (preferred) and partners with Operations, HR, Compliance, and project teams to support safe and compliant operations enterprise-wide.
Salary Range: $30 – $34 per hour
The compensation range above is based upon the Denver, Colorado labor market.
- Maintain a centralized repository for all company Safety documentation
- Manage document version control, approval workflows, and revision history
- Standardize document templates, naming conventions, and formatting
- Coordinate routine document reviews with Safety subject matter experts
- Archive obsolete documents in accordance with record retention requirements
- Ensure employees across all locations have access to current, approved safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Support alignment of Safety programs with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, TSA, and other applicable regulations
- Track regulatory updates and notify Safety leadership of required revisions
- Maintain inspection records, audit documentation, and regulatory correspondence
- Retrieve and organize documentation for internal and external audits
- Track corrective actions resulting from audits, inspections, or incidents
- Maintain company-wide safety training matrices and documentation
- Track completion of required safety certifications and training records
- Ensure training documentation aligns with current safety procedures
- Support onboarding safety documentation requirements
- Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) documentation and safety plan coordination
- Support proposal intake by providing required safety documentation
- Coordinate with HR and Operations to ensure alignment between safety policy and field execution
- Improve cross-location consistency in safety documentation and access
- Experience in document control, compliance coordination, or regulated environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA and related safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with document management systems (SharePoint or similar platforms)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
- Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Experience supporting safety programs in construction, industrial, energy, or regulated environments
- Experience assisting with audits or inspections
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field
