Tacten is currently seeking a Rope Access Journeyperson Insulator to join our team and support operations at our client’s site LNG in Kitimat BC.
In this role, you will play a critical part in executing high-altitude insulation tasks with precision, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Location: Position is based locally in Kitimat, BC at LNG site
Shift/Hours: 5/2 rotation, 40 hrs./week and possible overtime
Relocation: We are able to offer up to 3 months of temporary housing to assist with your relocation transition if required.
- Install various insulation materials, such as foam, fiberglass, or mineral wool, to prevent heat transfer, reduce energy consumption, and control sound.
- Accurately measure and cut insulation materials to fit designated areas.
- Secure insulation using appropriate fasteners, adhesives, and installation techniques.
- Conduct regular inspections of insulation to identify signs of wear, damage, or degradation.
- Perform repairs or replacements on compromised insulation to maintain optimal performance.
- Recommend and implement improvements or upgrades to enhance insulation efficiency and effectiveness.
- Consult with clients or project managers to assess insulation needs, considering factors such as temperature control, acoustic requirements, or electrical insulation.
- Provide expert recommendations on the most suitable insulation materials and techniques for various environments and applications.
- Collaborate with construction and maintenance teams to ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Experience with foam glass insulation would be an asset but is not mandatory.
- Journeyperson Insulator Certification.
- Unticketed insulators must provide proof of hours worked.
- Minimum IRATA Level 1 certification required, or a willingness to obtain it.
- Current safety certifications
