Roofing Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manager to oversee our construction projects and ensure they are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction disciplines, including roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and a hands-on approach to project management.

Duties

- Supervise and coordinate daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.

- Manage a team of skilled tradespeople, providing guidance and support in various construction tasks such as framing, concrete forming, and restoration.

- Review blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate project execution and compliance with specifications.

- Conduct construction estimating to prepare budgets and resource allocation for projects.

- Oversee the use of hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper maintenance and safety practices are followed.

- Facilitate training for team members on techniques such as tile laying, caulking, metal stud framing, and welding.

- Coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks while maintaining quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

- Perform heavy lifting as required during various stages of construction.

- Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality and safety.

Requirements

- Proven experience in construction management or a similar role with a strong understanding of construction processes.

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

- Hands-on experience with various trades including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, roofing, and restoration.

- Familiarity with construction estimating practices and project budgeting.

- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.

- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including heavy lifting as needed.
