You will be responsible for delivering service and customer support during field visits. This role involves overseeing on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks. Additionally, the Roofing Foreman will be tasked with diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining suitable solutions.
- Perform service roofing work and other duties as assigned (Including but not limited to: roof patching/repair (TPO, EPDM, metal roofing), roof inspections
- Install pipe boots, ridge/hip caps, counter flashing, coping, fascia, gutters, miters, downspouts, roof curbs, and crickets
- Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping
- Plan ahead and monitor needs daily to avoid running out of materials
- Make sure on-site equipment is monitored and maintained
- Notify manager of any broken or defective equipment
- Prepare and submit daily job reports, field progress problems, technical questions, and timesheets
- Operate company vehicles in a safe manner, and following company policies and procedures
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Ability to track time and materials through field operations software
- At times supervise and train team members
- At times perform general commercial construction duties, outside of roofing scope (including but not limited to: control joints, concrete sealants, anchor bolts, wedge anchors, and other general duties)
- At least 2 years of experience in commercial roofing
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools, adhesives, sealants, caulking or coating products
- Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans
- Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel for long periods of time in extreme weather conditions
- Experience pulling a trailer preferred, but not required
This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule. Occasional remote work is acceptable.
- Occasional travel to meetings and events, typically within a 150-mile radius of the office.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
