Reporting to the Senior Resource Geologist, you will be part of the Geology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Interpreting geological data to create 3D lithological, mineralization and structural models
- Utilize technologies and work with partners and stakeholders to develop geological models and a global mineral resource estimate following NI 43-101 standards and the best practice guidelines;
- Ensure all data is being used in compliance with QA/QC standards
- Update the short-term resource models while coordinating with the Geology and Engineering teams
- Collaborating with the Engineering Department in the generation of mineral reserves and resources to maximize geological objectives
- Complete quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy of geological models
- Work with different teams to generate long term mineral resource growth strategies while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and Company safety, Health and Environmental standards and Procedures.
- Strong appreciation and knowledge of structural & production geology;
- Strong ability with geological software (Datamine, Leapfrog, Fusion, DH Logger, AutoCAD etc;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Schedule: 5/4 or 4/3 (Monday to Thursday) schedule at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
