The Regional Director of Operation’s primary role is to lead each key operational function and oversee general operations within the region. The Regional Director of Operations will work with the division and senior leadership to build and grow the region’s operations, people, and culture. The role will partner and collaborate with all functional areas on ensuring consistent quality standards, optimizing efficiency, and achieving financial goals across all sites within their area of responsibility.
Essential Functions:
•Oversee all key operational functions within the region, including site and vertical construction, operations, staffing, and finances.
•Provide leadership and guidance to promote the development and operational competency of project managers, superintendents, and other roles in the region.
•Manage regional employee development including performance management, training, and compliance.
•Manage the regional budget, monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensure profitability on each project.
•Demonstrate leadership in all interactions, initiatives, and relationships that are consistent with the MYCON strategic plan, mission statement, and core values.
•Develop operational culture and regional execution focused on ensuring projects deliver excellence in quality, schedule, and customer experience.
•Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations, optimize resource allocation, and increase productivity across the region.
•Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings with Project Managers and client-owners ensuring all stakeholders are informed and any concerns are promptly addressed.
•Implement and enforce quality standards across all projects in the region, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
•Prioritize safety protocols on all construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing workplace accidents.
•Examine overall Regional Office performance data, including financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
•Develops strong and collaborative relationships with customers and vendors, thereby helping to resolve conflicts, ensuring expectations are being met and maintaining potential future opportunities.
•Acts as the main point of communication between the field and office, including investigation and resolution when challenges arise.
•Ability to travel as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required skills needed but not limited to the following:
•Bachelor’s Degree in construction, management, or related field
•10+ years of proven experience in commercial and/or multi-family construction operations. Diverse background of experience across site and vertical construction, purchasing, operations, and associated functions preferred.
•Strong leadership, management, and team-building capabilities.
•Strong understanding of construction budgeting, cost control, and financial management.
•Broad understanding of product and processes within the construction industry.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to learn other functional software, which may include Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
•Highly developed communication skills (listening, influence management, consensus development) paired with outstanding presentation skills.
•Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build successful and lasting relationships with team members, architects, owners, subcontractors, and municipalities.
•Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work.
•High energy and self-motivated with a sense of urgency to complete assigned tasks.
•Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, consistently meeting or beating deadlines.
