Job Summary: Plastics Injection molding company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Manger to join our team. This position would mainly be based in the Chanhassen and Mahtomedi area, some out of state travel may be necessary from time to time and would lead and supervise Quality Assurance Tech Teams.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead our quality assurance initiatives by overseeing the daily operations of our Quality Assurance Department while creating/updating our QMS and ISO program. This role offers an engaging variety of tasks in all areas of quality assurance.
This candidate must have knowledge of ISO certification requirements, experience writing ISO-compliant procedures, and achieving ISO certification in a timely matter. All plant locations are structured similar with small difference.
· Collaborate with Manufacturing Management to ensure adherence to manufacturing and quality assurance protocols.
· Develop, document, implement and maintain quality procedures and processes in alignment with ISO certification requirements
· Assist in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
· Support and prepare for external audits, including ISO audits and customer assessments
· Manage the internal audit program from the selection and training of the internal audit group through the implementation of effective corrective actions
· Participate in establishing and updating quality specifications and performance standards.
· Manage and support our Quality Assurance Technicians in root cause analysis for customer complaints and product rejections, and guide in implement corrective/preventive actions.
· Manage and support Quality Assurance Technicians monitoring and analyze quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing improvements as needed.
· Recommend process improvements based on inspection data and audit results.
· Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
· Perform other assignments as requested by Plant Leadership.
· College degree or Vocational education in Quality related curriculum.
· Ability to manage Quality and ISO systems
· Ability to lead a team of QA Technicians at multiple locations
· Working knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standards and certification processes
· Experience in writing and maintaining standard operating procedures and quality processes for ISO compliance.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document procedures and present quality findings.
· Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
· High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
· Salary: $8,500 - $12,500 per month, DOQ
