Foundry Design Engineer/Programmer:

The engineer’s responsibilities include enhancing existing pattern and core box tooling & gating designs and developing new ones. Write programs using PTC Creo CAD for pattern shop CNC. Complete solidification & flow analysis of castings using Solid Cast. Provide technical support to management staff for customer support and problem solving process issues. You should be able to collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing staff.

To be successful as a design engineer/programmer, you should demonstrate superb attention to detail and be able to manage your time efficiently. Outstanding candidates should be deadline-driven, meticulous, and consistently produce high-quality work. A full understanding of foundry processes including taking a drawing and creating a pattern/corebox with appropriate drafts, finishes, and parting lines to produce an acceptable casting.
