Quality Manager

Job Scope:
The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality department, defining its structure, and ensuring alignment with the company's quality policies. This role oversees all aspects of quality control and assurance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company policies. This position will ensure full quality control from incoming materials through shipping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Organization development, staffing and training to deliver company objectives.
•Lead the implementation and compliance of certification standards – ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable international and regulatory standards.
•Lead department efforts in implementing company quality policies in accordance with standards and regulations.
•Identify and execute strategic and tactical improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and meet KPIs. Drive operational improvement through quality data collection and analysis.
•Manage process and outgoing inspection gates to provide rapid feedback to operations and enhance product quality.
•Maintain the Defect Sensitivity Analysis (DSA) system to align skills between operations and inspection.
•Oversee the plant-wide equipment calibration system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
•Manage customer return costs and ensure cost targets are met.
•Review and approve quality-related documentation, including customer reports, Engineering Changes, EES requests, and 8R Reports.
•Act as the primary quality contact for customers; resolve issues efficiently.
•Guide and support Quality Engineers and staff members to meet KPIs and grow professionally.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
•Minimum 7 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
•At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•Strong knowledge of quality control standards, methodologies, and statistical analysis.
•Proven leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
•Experienced in cross-functional team management and interdepartmental communication.
•Familiarity with ISO standards, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or similar QMS.
•Proficient in quality management software and tools.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
•Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
•Able to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions, including SOPs.
Working Conditions:
•Must be able to stand and walk extensively during audits and inspections.
•Required to wear PPE in manufacturing areas.
•Must be capable of lifting and positioning inspection equipment as needed (up to 25 lbs).
