Quality Manager
The Quality Manager is the frontline Quality supervisor on the warehouse floor. He is involved directly hiring, discipline, and/or termination of employees within respective department. The Quality Manager should be able to answer questions or go to the proper individuals for clarification as the situation arises. The Quality Manager represents a very important purpose in ensuring the compliance of industry and company standards are met as well as passing on such company information, instructions, and announcements as deemed necessary for the smooth running of the Quality team. The Quality Manager assigns and directs workloads of Quality personnel under supervision of Plant Management. The Quality Manager must always conduct themselves in a Professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Ensure Champagne Metals safety guidelines and procedures are being followed.
•Train employees on defects and characteristics of aluminum and other metals.
•Review defective material and communicate with suppliers.
•Ensure that proper documentation is being maintained for quality related purposes.
•Supervise, develop, and support members of the quality team.
•Communicate with Plant Leadership, Supply Chain, and Sales as needed to resolve issues in real time.
•Daily follow up to confirm quality initiatives are being met.
•Assistance with Customer Quality visits as needed.
•Take an active role in ensuring compliance with ISO:9001 and other Quality Management Systems

•Knowledge of tool calibration and measuring devices.
•Prioritization and organization skills.

•Working knowledge of aluminum characteristics and other alloy defects.
•Understanding ISO 9001 Standards.
