- Ability to review, Interpret MOC Process, Engineering work packages (EWP) and Construction Work Packages (CWP).
- Ensuring Pressure piping and Pressure Equipment Repair and new Constructions complies with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications (e.g., ASME, API, ABSA,CWB).
- Ability to prepare the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plans for Piping, Structural, EHT Installations and Insulations.
- Coordinate with Client / Owner inspectors for On-Site / off-site fabrication and witness hold points as per ITP.
- Experience in Material Receiving Inspection and preparing Material Receiving Reports, maintaining Material Test Reports (MTR) logs
- Knowledge and experience in Blue beam to prepare weld mapping, Bolt-up mappings, Redline drawings.
- Proficiency in Excel to prepare and manage the Weld-NDE Log, Calibration Log, Bolt-up Logs.
- Knowledge and experience in review of Welding Procedure Specifications and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Knowledge in Welder Qualification Records, reviewing welders’ tickets, preparing Welder qualification declaration form, Weder Qualification logs and Continuity logs.
- Preparation of Weld-NDE matrix, Interpret Client Piping Line classes and NDE requirements.
- Surveillance Inspection and monitoring the Welding, Bolt-ups, Field Paint touch-ups, EHT Installations and Insulation works.
- Preparation of NDE requests, Co-ordination with the NDE Contractors, Identification of Weld Joints.
- Knowledge in reviewing NDE Reports, RT Film Interpretations.
- Ability to prepare Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) Instructions and reading the PWHT Charts
- Experience in Preparing the Hydro test packages and obtaining the approvals from Client / Owner.
- Ability to prepare the Hydro and Pneumatic Testing Procedures.
- Notifying Client / Owner for witnessing Hydro and Pneumatic Testing.
- Experience in Pre-hydro and Post-Hydro walkdowns, Client notifications, Preparation of Punch lists and follow-ups.
- Knowledge in preparing Tie-in Packages, Hot tie-ins and Cold tie-ins, Outages and shutdown experiences.
- Experience in preparation of Closure-weld requests, Obtaining Client / Owner approvals, In-Process monitoring and Parameters recording.
- Experience in preparing ABSA Data reports (AB-81, AB-83 and AB-40).
- Knowledge and Experience in preparing Turnover Index, Progressive turnover, Mechanical Completion, Transfer of Care, Custody and Control (TCCC).
- Review and verify Sub-contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure execution according to client specifications.
- Support pressure equipment integrity programs through inspection planning and execution.
- Prepare and review inspection reports, repair recommendations, and turnover documentation.
- Maintain and update inspection history and quality documentation in the database.
- Liaise with ABSA Authorized Inspectors for repair reviews and inspections in accordance with ASME Section VIII, Div 1/2 and B31.1 codes.
- Support turnarounds and outages by performing inspections and ensuring compliance during critical activities.
- Provide technical input on welding procedures, materials, and applicable codes and standards.
- Assist in internal audits and support external ABSA audits as needed.
· Valid certifications CWB Level 2 or higher (Mandatory)
· API 510, 570, 653; IBPV or equivalent provincial pressure equipment certification. (Additional Advantages)
· Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in QC inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
· Strong knowledge of ASME, API, CSA, and other industry standards.
· Proficient in reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
· Familiar with SAP or similar maintenance/inspection management systems.
· Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills.
· Able to work independently and in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
· Experience with BlueRhithm in DCS is a plus.
