The following restrictions apply to all internship candidates:
- Applicants must be available for a non-negotiable start date of Monday May 4, 2026.
- Applicants must be 18 years or older.
- Applicants must have housing accommodations or transportation in the Nisku area, as Precision does notprovide internship housing.
- By May 4, 2026, applicants must have completed at least their first year of study in a post-secondary program/Technical Institute (see job posting).
The Purchasing & Procurement Intern at the Drilling Support Centre is required to support day-to-day operations by accurately analyzing supply chain data, maintaining and organizing inventory levels, and ensuring the timely delivery of parts to Canadian rig operations.
- Day-to-day parts management and process control of inventory and warehouse operations
- Perform analysis on dead inventory and recommend slow-moving items for disposition
- Identify inventory addition candidates
- Review, catalogue, and birth inventory from existing parts not held as inventory
- Review Operations requests and create demand cycle and purchase strategies for inventory
- Send RFQs out to vendors and upload pricing/ delivery times into SAP upon return
- Responsible for a clean and safe workspace
- Follow and support all Precision Drilling policies and procedures
- Assist in identifying workplace hazards
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Work overtime hours when required
- Various other duties as required
Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently
Must be enrolled in a university or college and pursuing a degree or designation in Supply Chain Management or a similar field, such as Business or Engineering
Minimum 1-2 years of related work experience in supply chain management is an asset
