Duties:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct regular vendor evaluations
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify potential cost savings opportunities
- Utilize supply chain management systems (MRP) to track orders and monitor inventory levels
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials for fabrication
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Purchaser or in a similar procurement role
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Familiarity with MRP systems and procurement software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
