We are seeking a Buyer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the company through strategic procurement and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor relationship management skills, a solid understanding of inventory systems, and a commitment to customer service excellence. This position will involve managing the purchasing process, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that all supply chain operations align with production schedules and business goals.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term vendor partnerships focused on collaboration, trust, and cost-effective solutions. Negotiate terms, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery and quality assurance.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory to meet production needs, manage safety stock levels, and monitor lead times to prevent stockouts or overstocking. Work with internal teams to forecast and plan inventory requirements.
- Customer Service: Act as a key contact for internal and external teams to ensure timely procurement and inventory management, addressing quality or delivery issues to meet production schedules and customer satisfaction.
- System & Data Management: Input and manage purchasing data in the MRP system, including lead times, costs, and part numbers. Generate reports on material status and inventory levels, ensuring system accuracy and optimal performance.
- Procurement Oversight: Place and track purchase orders, adjust procurement strategies based on market trends, and continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
- General Duties: Stay updated on industry trends, participate in team initiatives, and perform other duties as needed to support procurement and company goals.
- The starting pay range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
