We are currently seeking a Project Scheduler who will play a key role in both project scheduling and inbound/outbound logistics coordination. This is a full-time, on-site position in Lloydminster, AB.
Position Summary
The Project Scheduler is responsible for planning, developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and project management teams to analyze progress, forecast performance, and communicate schedule status throughout the full project lifecycle.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoys bringing structure, visibility, and clarity to complex projects.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience - 3–5+ years of experience in project scheduling, logistics coordination, or a related role
- Manufacturing experience is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and project controls processes is an asset
- Strong self-starter with excellent communication, organization, and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with domestic and cross-border shipping between Canada and the United States
- Knowledge of customs documentation, HS codes, and tariff considerations is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Ability to provide a clean driver’s abstract upon request
Project Scheduling & Planning
- Develop, baseline, and maintain detailed project schedules covering engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery activities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project Management teams to define scope, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
- Build and maintain master schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS) and critical path logic
- Update schedules based on actual progress and forecast changes
- Track schedule performance, identify variances, and communicate impacts to project leadership
- Analyze schedule risks, constraints, and delays, and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and schedule updates for internal stakeholders
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments
- Coordinate domestic and cross-border shipments between Canada and the United States
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with couriers, freight carriers, and logistics providers
- Prepare shipping documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, and courier paperwork
- Track shipments and provide delivery status updates to internal teams
- Prepare and review customs and trade documentation for Canada-U.S. shipments
- Apply and verify HS codes, tariff classifications, and related trade requirements
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and compliant border clearance
- Ensure logistics activities meet applicable transportation, trade, and regulatory requirements
- Assist with basic shipping and receiving tasks, including staging outgoing orders and verifying incoming deliveries
- Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items as required
- Support the parts and inventory area during periods of low shipping activity
- Maintain accurate scheduling, shipping, and compliance records in ERP, MRP, or internal tracking systems
- Support integration of schedule data with logistics, cost tracking, and project controls
- Assist with project closeout documentation and archival of scheduling and logistics records
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Primarily office-based with regular interaction across manufacturing, shipping, and parts/inventory areas
- Occasional time spent on the shop floor or shipping areas to support logistics activities
- May require lifting or moving small packages in accordance with safe lifting practices
- Periodic flexibility in hours may be required to meet shipping deadlines or carrier schedules
