Summary
Assists in the execution of the strategic plan by supporting and promoting a culture of continuous improvement by working within a Project Management framework. Leads and facilitates complex, high-value projects and initiatives in a utility-provider service environment with multi-disciplinary teams focused on identifying opportunities in operational and service processes and improving to maximize member value, enhance productivity, improve efficiencies, reduce waste, reduce costs, and drive performance excellence.

Responsibilities
•Facilitates and leads complex, high-value projects and initiatives with multi-disciplinary teams using Project Management and Continuous Improvement techniques leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies focused on enhancing productivity, reducing waste, reducing cost, solving problems, and maximizing member value.
•Provide Project Management and Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma training to all levels of the cooperative to facilitate major change.
•Execute analytical approaches and apply structured project management and process improvement techniques.
•Encourages data-based decisions to drive value-stream enhancements and continuous improvement.
•Demonstrate understanding of and application of a wide range of Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma tools.
•Apply Continuous Improvement (Lean) practices to identify waste and improve organizational efficiency.
•Interface with other departments to identify improvement opportunities.
•Provide and solicit suggestions for enhancing productivity, reducing waste, reducing cost, solving problems, and maximizing member value.
•Conduct studies pertaining to cost control and cost reduction.
•Support value-added idea generation throughout the cooperative at Gemba. Gemba is defined as place where real action occurs and where value-added activities take place.
•Manage multiple projects by defining scope of work, project objectives, project activities, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
•Monitor budget and costs for projects and deliver presentations, status reports and other project documentation to stakeholders.
•Partner with and influence senior-level and mid-level leadership.
•Influence employees without authority to implement improvements and drive continuous improvement.
•Assist to drive change to ensure Continuous Improvement.
•Develop and gain buy in on changes and resolutions.
•Adopt a holistic approach that considers data, analytics, member insights and different parts of the cooperative.
•Assist in special projects as necessary.
Education and Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years related experience and/or training equivalent required.
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or ability to obtain within one year of date of employment.
•Current Lean Six-Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) preferred.
•Experience leading and directing cross functional project teams and responsibility for project delivery.
•Experience with Continuous Improvement/Lean Six Sigma in a working environment.
•Experience working in the electric utility industry.
•Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Applications including MS Visio and MS Project.
•Experience working with dashboards preferred.
•Effective presentation and group facilitation skills required.
•Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
•Must be able to maintain professionalism and control under all circumstances.
•Has and maintains a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and is able to operate SVEC vehicles.
•Must become and remain certified in CPR and first aid. Must also be skilled in the use of safety equipment.
•Must have the ability to work independently, exercise initiative and judgment in the performance of the core job responsibilities of this position.
•Must be skilled in the ability to answer questions, draw conclusions and make recommendations as needed to facilitate our dynamic and high-performance organization.
•Ability to dissect and resolve complex problems quickly and systematically.
•Must have proficient keyboarding skills.

Physical Requirements
•Participation in SVEC job safety and training programs, relevant workshops, seminars and other SVEC sponsored courses and events.
•Must be able to use office equipment including telephone, computer, and other systems and related software in the performance of position responsibilities.
•Must be able and available, during any and all types of weather conditions, to work weekends, holidays, evenings and other times outside normal duty hours to assist in service restoration and other emergencies that may arise or when the workload demands.
•Must always maintain an operating telephone or personal communication device at his/her place of residence. Ability to contact the telephone or personal communication device must be made available to SVEC for the purpose of contacting the manager to conduct legitimate routine and/or emergency business.
•This position involves primarily inside work. Must be able to lift objects unassisted (up to 30 pounds). Some standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to a minimal degree.
