Project Manager Assistant

To help facilitate our expanding business, MidStates Energy is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead industrial electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout at our Jackson, Missouri location. This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, financial performance, scheduling, and client relationships while ensuring safety, quality, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction, power distribution systems, and industrial installations, along with proven leadership and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage industrial electrical construction projects from award through completion

- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts

- Interpret and manage electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts

- Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination

- Monitor labor productivity, cost control, and project financial performance

- Lead project meetings with clients, engineers, field supervisors, and subcontractors

- Identify and mitigate project risks, scope changes, and cost impacts

- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies

- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)

- Working knowledge of industrial power systems, distribution equipment, motor controls, and related electrical infrastructure

- Strong understanding of project scheduling and cost control principles

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management software

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $23.54 - $28.35 per hour
