Production Technician is a mid-level position for our Thermal Spray operation. Safe operation of specific equipment, material(s) or processes in order to produce quality coated components at required rate is a core function. Technicians will be responsible operating production equipment and adhering to SOPs, Quality Control Regulations, and Safety Regulations.
- Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing output.
- Perform routine machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers to maintain production schedules and product specifications.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
- Identify and address production issues or equipment abnormalities, escalating concerns to maintenance or supervision as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and machine guarding protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation, including batch records and inspection logs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to resolve operational issues and maintain production flow.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated ability to stay organized and maintain accurate production or quality records.
- Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to enter data and navigate production or quality tracking systems.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow established procedures.
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification through company-provided training.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for duration of shift.
- Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
- Will lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Required to use hand to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel object repetitively on a frequent basis.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to comply with safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection).
