Position

The Powder Coating Supervisor is a position that is best suited for an individual looking to further their leadership skills in a powder coat facility:

Reporting to the company’s General Manager of Operations, the Powder Coating Supervisor will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Provide staff training

- Maintain a positive attitude and encourage staff when met with challenges

- Act as liaison between management and employees with professionalism

- Follow and enforce protocols

- Schedule and organize projects in a timely manner

- Report staff disturbances and absences of concern

- Performance reports on staff

- Track inventory materials and complete materials list

- Communicate with purchaser to maintain inventory of powder coat supplies

- Maintain and keep equipment in good working order

- Check quality and completion of projects prior to installation

- Oversee and support Powder Coating Labourers in preparing in-house manufactured aluminum products for powder-coating

- Grinding

- Sanding

- Drilling

- Washing with Hydrofluoric agent

- Overhead Gantry operations

- Forklift operations

- Pressure Washing

- General shop cleanup

- Applying Powder coating finish

- Cleaning spray booth

- Oven operations

- Assembling products for job completion

- Assisting loading and unloading materials such as glass/aluminum

- Report safety concerns, deficiencies, and continuing challenges to management

- Assist and provide support to team members when help is required

Skills and Attributes

- Positive attitude and mindset

- Strong communication

- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour

- Experience using hand tools

- Experience in a powder coating facility considered an asset

- Ability to work both as a team player and individually

Experience:

- Powder Coating: 1 year (preferred)
