PTW is looking for a Coating Supervisor to work on site in our Calgary industrial paint and blast facility. If you are team oriented, organized, and have a high standard of safety, we want to hear from you!
- Oversees work in the paint and blast bays, ensuring efficiency and productivity of the work team.
- Analyses work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required to execute.
- Assists the Business Development group with attractive and/or securing new clients
- Assists the Estimating department with review, receipt, and compilation of Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), and other related documentation as it concerns industrial painting and sandblasting scope.
- Assists in the training of new painters, sandblasters, and laborers; follows the green-hand training procedures.
- Ensures that project documentation adheres to the quality content requirements of the project and the client.
- Conducts client site visits as required.
- Conducts daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
- Assists in the review of job hazard assessments with work team prior to commencement of a job.
- Enforces safety rules through ongoing communication and toolbox meetings.
- Resolves work issues, identifying and promoting continuous improvement opportunities for process and production efficiencies- A minimum of 5+ years of supervisory experience required - 5+ years of experience in an industrial coating facility an asset.
- Post secondary education is an asset.
- NACE and SSPC certification an asset.
- Previous experience with water-based epoxy paint and primer mixing requirements an asset.
- Proficient in both English and Metric dimensions.
- Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks quickly.
- Must possess strong understanding of MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must have CSA approved safety boots.
- Must have own transportation as location is not accessible with public transportation.
