We offer over 50 metal finishing processes making us a “one-stop source for plating”. We specialize in plating precision machined parts that require special handling and processes.
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and visionary Plant Manager for our Twin Cities manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will have broad manufacturing experience in machining & fabrication, metal finishing processes, tool & die, preventative maintenance, and safety/environmental systems. Specific experience in metal finishing processes will receive strong consideration.

The ability to forge strong and productive relationships with employees and customers is critical. An active, present, and participative leader style is key to success in this role. The position is 70% tactical execution and 30% strategy development/implementation.
- Leads plant safety program
- Maintain strong, participative leadership presence on shop floor. Drive performance management and employee engagement best practices
- Partners with production manager and sales team in coordinating the scheduling of orders and efficient flow of work through the shop
- Develop and implement operating procedures supporting the principles of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Partners with quality assurance manager on continuous improvement projects and internal/external quality execution
- Provide technical support and drive quality corrective actions with customers, manufacturing team
- Oversee employee skill building / cross training program
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly plant environment
- Monitor job cost variation, coordinate with estimating for accurate pricing
- Advise operations team on racking design, fixturing, special processing techniques to increase productivity, reduce defects
- Oversee sensitive jobs for close tolerance, quality execution
- Supervise/enable process troubleshooting, utilizing the lab and other resources as required
- Oversee plant preventative maintenance and capital projects
- Develop and implement new processes in support of sales growth
- Address quality issues with customers and employees
- Supervise lab manager and insure compliance with all environmental regulations and monitoring, including waste water, air, and solid waste
- Develop and implement pollution prevention and environmentally friendly practices ( engineering improvements, waste treatment, new/alternative chemistries) plant wide
- Responsible for variable spending ( COGS ) execution and compliance to financial plan
- Insure compliance to IAM contractual requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a plant operations leader
- Lean Manufacturing / OpEx implementation experience and performance improvement track record a plus
- Experience leading preventative maintenance, safety, and quality improvement teams is critical
- Associates degree in technical discipline or business management, bachelor’s degree preferred. Significant equivalent experience, in lieu of a degree, will be considered.
