Assignment Duration:
This is a 12-month contract position, with the potential for extension based on team needs and the contractor’s performance and contributions.

Purpose:
The Drafter supports engineering and construction teams by producing accurate and timely 2D isometric drawings for mechanical and electrical systems. This role ensures that project documentation reflects current design intent, field conditions, and engineering standards, contributing to efficient project execution, safety, and quality outcomes.
- Read and understand engineering and construction drawings
- Create and update 2D isometric drawings for Mechanical and Electrical.
- Revise existing drawings based on redlines, field feedback, and engineering changes.
- Maintain drawing standards, layers/levels, title blocks, and revision history per company procedures.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure drawing accuracy and completeness.
- Organize and manage drawing files and deliverables to support project schedules
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in piping drafting for industrial construction projects
- Knowledge of industry drafting standards
- Ability to create and revise 2D CAD drawings
- Solid background in 2D CAD drafting techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail, strives for accuracy
- Understanding of engineering terms and standards
- Proficient in the current releases of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
Environment:
Working conditions encountered in this job include those found in a typical office setting as well as an indoor/outdoor manufacturing setting which includes exposure to outside weather conditions, work at elevated heights, climbing of stairs and ladders, and physical manipulation of tools and mechanical equipment. This job demands the use of typical manufacturing personal protective equipment as well as advanced protective equipment as needed.
