Wood has a career opportunity for a dynamic and innovative individual to fill the role of Piping Designer in our St. John’s, NL office. Working within the Engineering Team, your experience and skills will contribute to the execution of brownfield EPC projects for our clients.

- Lead up as-building for platform isometrics
- Originating and checking of documentation
- Ensure design is in accordance with applicable codes, governing statutory regulations, Wood procedures, offshore installation specific design philosophies and meets project objectives and industry best practice
- Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
- Adhering to all HSSES requirements within the Piping department in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
- Preparing project documents in accordance with project and company standards
- Establishing good working relationships and communication with area leads, department managers, clients, and other team members to coordinate, ensuring the compatibility of design

- Currently authorized to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
- Technical diploma from a post-secondary institution
- Relevant work experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience- Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization, inter-personal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
