As our Payroll & Benefits Specialist , you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll across multiple states while supporting benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement efforts. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly visible—perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to be part of a supportive, people-first team.
• Process weekly payroll for a multi-state, multi-entity workforce
• Maintain payroll records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations
• Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions
• Coordinate with HR and accounting to ensure accurate reporting and deductions
• Partner with the HR Director on employee engagement efforts, wellness initiatives, and process improvements
• Handle employment verifications, garnishments, and onboarding paperwork as needed
• 3+ years of experience in payroll and benefits (multi-state preferred)
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information
• A team player who’s comfortable wearing many hats and jumping in where needed
• Prior experience supporting HR functions (SHRM-CP, PHR- a plus)
