About This Job

Title: Bookkeeper

This individual is responsible for assisting with the management of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance, along with administrative operations including A/P and A/R.

This is an in-office part-time day shift of 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday. You must reside in Wichita, KS or the surrounding area and be able to commute to the office each day.

Qualifications:

•

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration preferred.

•

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting.

•

Knowledge and proficiency of QuickBooks and/or related accounting database required.

•

3+ years ‘experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

•

3+ years of bookkeeping experience.

•

High degree of organizational skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail.

•

Interpersonal expertise, interacting with team members, directors, CEO, and stakeholders.

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•

Ability to work independently.

•

Ability to prioritize duties and projects.

•

Knowledge of GAAP accounting preferred.

Reports To: Director of Finance

Performance Responsibilities:

•

General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.

•

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

•

Perform daily cash deposits.

•

Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.

•

Manage Aging Accounts Receivable and follow-up with customers.

•

Accurately record daily transactions in QuickBooks.

•

Research and resolve differences in misapplied payments.

•

Download credit card transactions on a weekly basis.

•

Prepare weekly and monthly reports as requested.

•

File and record keeping.

•

Maintain updated W-9 files and assist in processing 1099s for vendors at year-end.

•

Maintain confidentiality in protecting sensitive information.

•

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Job Status: Part-time Pay: $20-24 per hour DOE
