Job Summary

CMG (www.cmgmetals.com) is a fast-growing, employee-owned manufacturer and distributor of premium coil and sheet metal products used in architectural roofing and construction. We are looking for a driven Outside Sales professional to take ownership of the Central Texas market and aggressively grow it. This role is not for someone who wants to manage existing accounts. We are looking for a natural hunter who enjoys building relationships, opening new doors, and winning new business. Our Central Texas facility in Buda is newly established, which means this is a ground-floor opportunity to help build CMG’s presence in one of the fastest-growing construction markets in the country. The right person will have the freedom to build their territory like it’s their own business. As CMG grows, so does your income and ownership stake in the company.

What You'll Do

Hunt for New Business

- Identify and pursue new customers throughout Central Texas

- Actively prospect roofing contractors, sheet metal fabricators, and metal roofing installers

- Generate new accounts through field visits, networking, and referrals

Build Long-Term Relationships

- Become a trusted partner to contractors and fabrication shops

- Provide product knowledge, estimating support, and project guidance

Close Deals

- Present CMG’s product offering and capabilities

- Prepare quotes and proposals

- Negotiate pricing and close profitable orders

Grow the Market

- Monitor local construction trends and competitive activity

- Help position CMG as the preferred supplier for metal roofing and sheet metal

Own Your Territory

- Manage your pipeline, schedule, and customer strategy

- Collaborate with leadership to execute a regional sales plan

Be in the Field

- Regular travel throughout Central Texas meeting customers and visiting job sites

Qualifications

Industry Experience

- 2+ years of sales experience in construction materials

- Metal roofing, sheet metal, or building products experience strongly preferred

Relationship Builder

- Highly personable and comfortable working directly with contractors and business owners

Self-Starter

- Able to operate independently and manage a territory

Technical Aptitude

- Strong math and estimating skills for material takeoffs and pricing

Organized

- Excellent follow-up and attention to detail

Driver's License

- Must be willing to travel regularly throughout Central Texas

Language Skills

- English/Spanish bilingual strongly preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
