Reports To: Director of Sales / VP of Sales
As a National Account Manager, you'll be the strategic driver behind our relationships with high-value national clients in the steel shelving and storage solutions industry. You'll lead account growth, deliver tailored solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure customer success and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
Own and expand relationships with major national accounts, including retail chains, distributors, and industrial clients.
Develop and execute account strategies that align with revenue and profitability goals.
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities through data-driven insights and customer engagement.
Lead contract negotiations to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
Serve as the primary liaison for assigned accounts, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
Conduct regular business reviews and performance check-ins to strengthen partnerships.
Deliver consultative solutions tailored to customer needs using deep product and industry knowledge.
Build annual account plans with clear KPIs, milestones, and growth targets.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reporting to leadership.
Partner with engineering and production teams to align product specs with customer requirements.
Coordinate with logistics and supply chain to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.
Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns, presentations, and product launches.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in sales or account management, preferably in manufacturing, industrial products, or material handling.
Proven success managing national/key accounts with multimillion-dollar revenue.
Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and industrial/manufacturing environments.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to sit, stand, and work on a computer for extended periods. -
