Summary

DMC is currently looking for a

Mine Technician

to join our team on a

full-time contract position

in Sudbury, ON. The Mine Technician will be responsible for assisting with underground construction and development activities. The incumbent will ensure that project specifications and requirements are adhered to, while assisting with QA/QC requirements.

Responsibilities

- Provides prominent organizational skills to support the construction team for underground work.

- Works closely with the Project Engineer to ensure all requirements to execute the work are available and supported in a timely manner.

- Regularly audit job boards for missing prints or information.

- Regular audits of material to ensure material is available for upcoming tasks.

- Proficient with surveying. Ability to markup new headings, markup construction anchors and other civil structures.

- Complete concrete sampling (slump testing, collect break cylinders) as required.

- Complete a detailed report of work being completed on a shift by shift basis.

- Other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Mining (or Civil) Technology

- Entry level position, 0-3 years of experience preferred.

- Proficient on a computer with excellent skills in basic programs (Word, Execl).

- Proficient at AutoCAD.

- Exceptional written, oral communication and client management skills
