Mechanic

Elliot is a full-service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating and industrial/commercial services.

Job Description

We are seeking a mechanic to perform the following:

- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles including tires and tracks

- Meet with crew members and leads to better understand their concerns and identify issues.

- Assemble mechanical components according to specs

- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems

- Design a plan of action for all maintenance equipment tasks and upgrades.

- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records

- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary

- Perform vehicle/equipment assessments and alert appropriate parties on issues that will prohibit their vehicle/equipment from operating correctly or passing an inspections

- Perform DOT inspections

Qualifications

- Must have a minimum of two years experience

- Must provide own tools

- Experience in electrical, hydraulics, and diesel preferred

- Must have or be eligible to obtain a Class A CDL

- Must be willing to travel when necessary

- 50+ hrs a week expected
