WPPI Energy is seeking a Marketing Intern to assist the Member Relations, Communications & Services (MRC&S) team and our not-for-profit, community-owned utility members to support communication and outreach strategies. This paid intern position will provide a great opportunity to gain experience working in corporate office environment with a team of professionals.
- Provide member website and other digital marketing support, as assigned, including:
- Organizing, uploading, and inputting content into the content management system.
- Organizing, sorting, and formatting text, images, and media for web use.
- Adding heading, links, and proper page layouts and navigation.
- Optimizing content with keywords, meta descriptions, and image alt text for search engines, ensuring accessibility compliance.
- Check for broken links, cross-browser compatibility, and efficient functionality.
- Resolve bugs, graphic issues, and member support requests.
- Other duties as assigned could be within the MRC&S department or in another department.
Qualification and skills we are looking for:
- Students working towards marketing, communications, or similar degree.
- Experience in, or interest in learning, WordPress or other website content management systems.
