The Market Associate is a key member of our store team, responsible for delivering exceptional Guest service, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, preparing fresh food offerings, supporting inventory and store operations, and ensuring a safe, clean, and inviting store environment. This role requires flexibility, professionalism, and dedication to upholding brand standards across all daily tasks.

- Provide best-in-class Guest service at every interaction.
- Greeting every Guest with a smile and sincere welcome.
- Suggest relevant purchases and promote current specials.
- Execute the company’s Guest service program consistently at the store level.
- Interact professionally with all customers and address concerns promptly and courteously.
- Prepare/maintain all fresh, Grab and Go food items according to company guidelines.
- Execute daily prep
- Assist when needed in food service preparation venue.
- Maintain all self-service food areas, including coffee stations, fountain machines, fresh cases, dispensers, and condiment centers.
- Restock and rotate products based on received and production dates to ensure freshness.
- Execute cleaning checklist
- Follow food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures consistently.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in inventory management: monitor stock levels, checking in and working deliveries, conduct back stocking, and complete shift reports as required.
- Maintain cleanliness brand standards, including cleaning equipment, shelving, floors, and store entry areas.
- Support all site-level programs and operational processes as directed by management.
- Maintain a safe and secure store environment for guests, associates, and vendors.
- Adhere strictly to safety, sanitation, hazardous material, and environmental guidelines.
- Operate all equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Promptly document and report all workplace accidents, incidents, or injuries.
- Complete required safety and health training, including new hire orientation.
- Maintain the interior and exterior appearance of the store to company standards.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Basic math skills to perform transactions and complete shift documentation.
- Strong knowledge of general safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to validate customer identification for age-restricted product sales per state law.
- Comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Professional and calm demeanor, including in emergency or high-pressure situations.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes, cleaning supplies, and varying temperature conditions (coolers, outdoors, kitchen areas).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift.
- Ability to traverse all areas of the store.
- Occasional desk/computer tasks may be required.
- Prolonged periods of standing and occasional lifting of products such as beverages, milk crates, and packaged goods.
- Frequent exposure to cold, heat, wet surfaces, and food allergens.
- Standing, bending, twisting, and lifting throughout shift.
- Use of food service equipment and point-of-sale systems.
- Fast-paced retail environment requires attention to detail and accuracy.
The pay range for this position is outlined above. The final amount offered at the start of employment is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, abilities and geographic location, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
