Join a team that keeps production moving. In this role, you’ll receive and inspect incoming materials, take required samples, and organize approved materials in the warehouse for efficient use. You’ll play a key part in supporting our blending and filling teams by delivering materials where they’re needed, including loading the hotbox. You’ll also assist with inventory counts alongside purchasing, production control, and inventory teams. - Unload trucks and receiving additives, packaging materials, and non-production supplies.
- Sample additives and inspect packaging materials per quality procedures. Maintenance of inspection status of goods during storage in the warehouse.
- Distribute loads to blending hotboxes and deliver other required materials to the blending and filling teams.
- Perform physical inventory counts as needed.
- Knowledge of basic SAP functionality.
- Knowledge of Monday.com, Material Stock Analysis, & other various reporting functions as it relates to Receiving/Warehouse/Inventory.
- Operate electric fork truck. Must be able to handle palletized materials and drums with drum clamp attachment.
- Operate yard dog truck. Must be able to hook up and back in containers and trailers and move around the work area.
- Maintain housekeeping in the warehouse areas.
- Assist other manufacturing teams as needed.
- Stop production due to safety and/or quality concerns.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment defects/malfunctions, safety issues/concerns, and quality concerns immediately to management.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.- Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills and mathematical skills.
- Able to learn, improve skills, and be coached.
- Self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work in a group setting or independently.
- Work well with team members.
- Able to trouble shoot intermediate machine and inventory problems.
- Able to use equipment safely and for their intended purpose. Able to be safety minded.
- Able to operate electric forklift and obtain ILA forklift certification.
- Able to complete training for Indiana CDL, if requested.
