Manufacturing Controller
We are seeking the right person to assume the roll of Manufacturing Controller. The perfect candidate with have prior experience managing financial activities with all departments and site leadership to drive our growth, to include cost accounting. This is a hands on, roll-up-your sleeves, position that reports to the CFO.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
•
Manage and perform all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL , Inventory Accounting, Fixed Assets and Revenue Recognition;
•
Oversee financial analysis, reporting and strategic initiatives;
•
Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances;
•
Prepare timely monthly financial statements;
•
Perform month-end and year-end close processes;
•
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
•
Participate in year end review with outside accountants;
•
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
•
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
•
Additional duties as necessary;
•
Regular and predictible on-site attendance is required.
Skills
•
5+ years of controllership experience in a manufacturing environment.
•
Advanced degree in Accounting.
•
CPA or CMA a plus.
•
Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
•
Experience with general ledger functions, reconciliations and the month end/year end close processes.
•
Experience with various manufacturing software. Macola, Pulse and job costing a plus.
