Corporate Controller

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Corporate Controller is responsible for the accounting operations and financial reporting functions of the entire Americas Region of Sibanye-Stillwater which includes the US PGM Mining Operations, the US PGM Recycling Operation, both located in Montana, and the Reldan Recycling Operation in Pennsylvania (the "Region"). This position manages accounting records, financial statements, taxation, budgets, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contributes to strategic financial decisions. The position will also be responsible for treasury management and is one of the key liaisons between the Sibanye-Stillwater Group in South Africa and the Region.
•Providing visible leadership within the accounting department.
•Coach and mentor the Accounting and Finance teams, and other site leaders, in accordance with Sibanye-Stillwater leadership qualities.
•Foster positive, cooperative relationships
•Developing and managing balanced work groups; allocating and sharing resources.
•Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
•Provide constructive and timely performance feedback for direct reports.
•Hold people accountable in a consistent manner, document performance as required, resolve non-conformance issues, and address employee issues with appropriate resources.
•Collaborate with all departments to ensure effective communications.
•Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
•Monitor the financial performance of the Region
•Ensure that reported results comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and/or International Financial Reporting Standards.
•Produce periodic financial reports, maintain accounting records, and develop controls and budgets/forecasts designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Company's reported financial results.
•Ensuring the Region's financial reporting and internal controls adhere to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). This includes evaluating risks, implementing and testing controls, and documenting compliance efforts.
•Treasury management which includes the management of cash flows, liquidity, investments, and risk management.
•Manage the process to identify and mitigate tax risk in the Region as well as monitor and ensure that the tax risk in the Region is integrated into the overall risk compliance of the Sibanye-Stillwater Group.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Attention to detail and accuracy with a high level of initiative and task completion in a fast paced, demanding environment.
•High level of integrity and confidentiality.
•Proven ability to work autonomously, as well as, within a team-based environment.
•Experience with compliance issues related to US and non-US entities.
•Strong background in all areas of accounting including consolidated financial reporting, Group and public market reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley adherence and internal control improvement.
•Strong JDE EnterpriseOne software or other ERP experience.
•A proven ability to communicate with multiple locations and at all levels to accumulate data, interpret results, and report the financial effect of business decisions.
Education & Experience
•BS degree in accounting or finance or related field with a minimum of 10 years of related experience in a senior accounting/financing role.
