The Role, At-a-Glance

We have roles open for full time and part time manufacturing technicians at Cala Systems located in Wilmington, MA. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for building equipment, ensuring manufacturing processes run efficiently and effectively, analyzing and improving production methods and maintaining existing machinery. You will work with manufacturing engineers, R&D engineers, the production team and other professionals in support of the manufacturing operations.

What Will I Do?

- Assembly: Hands on assembly of Water Heaters and Heat Pumps.

- Brazing: Hands on brazing of copper and aluminum tubing.

- Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment.

- Monitoring Processes: Keep track of production stages, making adjustments as needed, and ensuring processes run smoothly.

- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of equipment maintenance, production data, and other relevant information.

- Process Improvement: Have a voice in suggestions to improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, quality and reduce costs.

- Safety: Follow safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

What Qualifications Do I Need?

- 5+ years of hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment. - 2+ year of hands-on experience brazing HVAC tubing or similar joints.

- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in all tasks and documentation.

- Follow Work Instruction: Ability to read and follow details work instructions.

- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest ways to improve quality and efficiency.

- Technical Aptitude: A strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.

- Quality Control: Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards and knowledge of change control processes and systems.

- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and work with production, engineering and other team members.

- Physical ability: Depending on the specific role, physical strength and stamina may be required.
