Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems with precision, utilizing various tools and technical drawings. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with precision measuring instruments, blueprint reading, and fabrication techniques.

Duties

- Assemble mechanical parts and systems according to schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings

- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools to complete assemblies

- Measure components accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments

- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for assembly instructions

- Operate machining equipment and perform fabrication tasks as needed

- Utilize forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials safely within the workspace

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency during assembly processes

- Follow safety protocols related to manufacturing environments and equipment operation

Skills

- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments

- Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings

- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly, fabrication, welding, soldering, machining, and power tools

- Experience with manufacturing processes including assembly line work and warehouse operations

- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools effectively

- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail for quality assurance in assembly tasks

- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and follow detailed instructions

- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.05 - $28.97 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
