An Assembly Technician builds, assembles, and tests products or components (pumps, fluid ends, and flow line products) using hand/power tools, reading blueprints/schematics, following precise instructions, and performing quality checks to ensure functionality and standards are met, requiring strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills for a smooth production workflow.
- Review work instructions and build schematics prior to assembly.
- Gather materials, parts, and tools needed for the assembly task.
- Assemble job components using hand tools and power tools following blueprints, schematics or instructions.
- Inspect and test components and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Keep work area clean, organized and safe.
- Accurately complete paperwork or required documentation, track inventory used, and report issues.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with basic tools, mechanical aptitude, and ability to read diagrams.
- Manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, ability to lift.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, communication, ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Flexible and adaptable, as well as action oriented.
- Exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
- Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
- Duties performed in office, and production shop, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
- It can be fast paced.
- Required personal protective equipment when in designated areas.
- Standard office and warehouse equipment
- Use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Stand, bend, sit, stoop, crawl, squat, kneel, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Regularly required to hear and talk.
- Must have the ability to see close.
- Be able to withstand exposure to Production Environment.
- Be able to tolerate high noise levels with the protection of earplugs.
