This is an on-site full-time Assembly Technician role located in Katy, TX. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling hydraulic components and systems, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment as needed. Tasks will also include inspecting parts and systems to ensure quality control and compliance with company standards, collaborating with team members, and maintaining an organized and safe workspace. This individual will contribute to the company's commitment to operational excellence and superior customer service.
- Proficiency in working with Hand Tools and Power Tools for mechanical assembly tasks
- Experience with Soldering techniques and methods
- Expertise in Mechanical Assembly and an understanding of component installation
- Knowledge of Quality Control processes and standards in manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and focus on precision
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow assembly instructions
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- Prior experience in hydraulic systems or industrial manufacturing is a plus
• Sets up the production equipment and supplies before executing sales orders.
• Follows safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation during production.
• Ensure that equipment is maintained in good and safe working conditions.
• Inspects equipment to identify any needed replacements, malfunctions, and repairs; Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements.
• Assembles product in accordance with all relevant specifications and documentation.
• Ensures that all assembly operations follow the applicable work instructions and supporting documentation.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with the routing and bill of materials.
• Help new operators with their assigned responsibilities.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure all manufacturing areas are clean at the end of each shift.
• Uses forklift truck to transfer production equipment between the warehouse and working area.
• Identifies and reports unsafe operations to supervisor or manager immediately.
• Complete all packaging and dispatch requirements to ensure that the finished product arrives to the customer in an acceptable condition.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles
• Ability to follow technical instructions, work orders, and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to operate hand tools, equipment, and material handling devices (forklift/crane experience preferred)
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
